Taylor Swift strikes again!
The Shake It Off songstress, known for surprising her fans with unannounced visits and even invitations to her home, stopped by to see fan Stephanie Barnett in North Haven, Connecticut, on Friday.
A local news affiliate, NBC Connecticut, reported that Barnett "connected" with Swift on social media years ago. The singer's music consoled Barnett as she struggled with fertility issues.
"I open the door and she's like, 'Hey, Steph!' and it's just her right there, and I lost it," Barnett told the station. "I lost it for a while."
Swift even brought gifts such as a toy Meredes along for the son that Barnett eventually had, 2-year-old Leyton.
"She went to FAO Schwartz and got a bunch of stuff for Leyton," Barnett gushed. "The car was so big, she's like, 'I don't know how to ship it, so I thought I'd bring it over.' And I was like, who does that? It's incredible."
Swift does that. She's long been good to her fans, never passing up a chance to visit sick children in the hospital, for example, but she's been especially generous recently as she promotes her latest hit album, 1989. Last month, she had multiple "secret sessions" in which she invited groups of fans into her home, baked them cookies, introduced them to her parents and cats, and had a dance party before playing her new music. However, she isn't known for making house calls.
"She's unbelievable," Barnett said. "The things she does for her fans, and she's a really amazing person. She's gotten a lot of people through so much more than anyone can imagine. I was literally bawling on my couch, like, inconsolably, that she would do this for me and my son."
After the two-hour visit, Swift stopped by a local Starbucks. She stayed in the coffee shop about 10 minutes, long enough to order a skinny caramel latte and delight a few more Swifties.
